First University Race

On Friday I had my first cross country meet with my team in University.  Everyone ran really hard!  I was so excited to get to wear my Garcia Socks once again for my race.  I know they helped me go fast.  When people were cheering for the runners a couple people cheered that they liked my socks. Thank you so much for my socks!  They are my absolute favourite socks! I also went to downtown Ann Arbor and explored some of the stores and restaurants. I found a really cool store that had a bunch of marbles, wind up toys, stickers and a Curious George.  I know you would love it here.  I hope you are having so much fun at home with Cuba, your Mom and Dad.

This is most of the girls on the cross country team. Some are missing, so I will definitely get a full team picture once everyone is at a race.

I went exploring downtown Ann Arbor and found this really cute Curious George. I know how much Garcia likes Curious George, so I thought it was cool to find one in Ann Arbot.

I of course had to take a photo in my team uniform with my Garcia socks. I think the socks match very well with my outfit!

I will post the final fundraising total on Friday because I am officially closing the in trust account on Thursday.  I want to thank everyone who has followed this entire fundraising and awareness campaign.  I could not be more pleased with how this entire journey has been.  I am so happy that Garcia found a donor and is doing better now!  Please continue to send positive messages and prayers to Garcia and his family!
